Letters go out to Duvall businesses
A letter has been sent to Duvall businesses that have A-Board/Sandwich boards which are not in compliance with the city’s sign code. Per the current code signs will be permitted if: They have a maximum size less than or equal to 4 sq. ft.; They are completely self supporting; are only displayed during daylight hours; have a maximum height of 4 feet and minimum height of 2 feet; All lettering and artwork are of professional quality; only one sign board is permitted for a single business (except for real estate signs allowed under Section 14.50.160E); the city is indemnified against all damages and has been named as co-insured with a minimum cov erage of one million dollars and a street use permit is obtained from the city public works dept. unless otherwise waived.
The city began taking non-compliant signs within the city limits on Tuesday of this week. These signs can be picked up at City Hall. If business owners have any questions regarding their signs or a permit, they can call Amy Bright of the City of Duvall at 425-788-2779.
