McGuire Appointed to King County Committee
Tona McGuire, courtesy photo Tona McGuire, PhD, has been appointed to the King County Healthcare Coalition’s Disaster Clinical Advisory Committee.
The coalition is a network of healthcare organizations and providers working together to strengthen emergency preparedness and response (see http://www.kingcounty.gov/healthservices/health/preparedness/hccoalition...).
A practicing Clinical Psychologist with offices in Woodinville and Issaquah, Dr. McGuire specializes in children’s issues.
Dr. McGuire traveled 3 times to Haiti after the earthquake in 2010. She helped set up a disaster behavioral health program, designed to train community members on how to assist their family and neighbors in coping after natural disasters and other disruptive events.
Dr. McGuire is a member of Carnation-Duvall Medical Reserve Corps (see http://www.carnationduvallcitizencorps.org/programs/mrc/index.html). She and her husband, Jerry, live in Carnation.
