Sno-Valley Senior Center Events in March
CAKE AUCTION & BENEFIT DINNER
Come join the valley community for a night of food and fun at our delicious Annual Cake Auction & Benefit Dinner on Saturday, March 10 at Carnation Elementary School. We’ll be serving a lovely dinner with your choice of two main-courses for $15 each. Then bid on amazing homemade cakes, some with secret heirloom recipes, with proceeds benefiting the Sno-Valley Senior Center. Seatings are at 4:30 & 6:30 p.m. Reservations are encouraged but not necessary. You can sign up at snovalleysenior.org or call the Senior Center at 425-333-4152. You can also donate cakes!
COUNTRY LINE DANCING on TUESDAYS
Come and kick up your heels at our brand new Country Line Dancing class, every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Main Hall. No experience necessary. Instructor Cindy Taylor, out of Fall City, puts the emphasis on fun. Bring boots or hard-soled shoes and a good sense of humor. Cowboy hats and fancy jeans are welcome but certainly not required. Drop-ins are okay or hold your spot by signing up at the front desk. $5 for members, $7 for non-members. See y’all there!
BIRTHDAY LUNCH, THIRD THURSDAYS
Every third Thursday, the Sno-Valley Senior Center celebrates member birthdays. If you’re a member born in March, stop in at noon on Thursday, March 16 for a free lunch! We start the fun around 10 a.m. with a movie and popcorn, lunch at noon, and then a special dessert. All March birthdays are recognized and celebrated. The Center serves a hot, home-made lunch every weekday at noon for just $3 for anyone age 60 or over. Lunches are only $6 for everyone else. A great way to celebrate the senior in your life. Bring the whole family!
VOLUNTEER SIGN-UP & ORIENTATION, THIRD THURSDAYS
Want to connect with the community, use your unique skill set and make new friends? The Senior Center has wonderful opportunities for volunteers. Beginning March 10 at 1:30 p.m. we’ll be signing up new volunteers every third Thursday. If you’re new to our center, we encourage you to come for lunch to get acquainted and then attend our orientation to share ideas, interests and opportunities. It’s a fun way to socialize, serve, network and refresh or learn new skills. Coffee, tea and snacks provided.
