“Skylar” “Skylar” pictured at right is a 3-year-old female Pomeranian/ Shetland Sheepdog. She weighs about 17 pounds and is “super lovely, sweet and very playful” according to her foster family. Skylar and her companion, Autumn, were surrendered when their former owner could no longer care for them. Their foster family adds that Skylar is a bright dog, who understands and obeys commands. “She is food motivated, so she’ll do almost anything for a treat!” Her leash manners are fabulous and she almost always leaves slack and doesn’t try to run off or pull. She is easily corrected by voice commands. She is tolerant of anything you need to do with her, such as removing a food bowl, playing with her feet, tail or ears, picking her up, etc. She wins over everyone she meets with her good behavior.
